| | Wir Sind Helden - "Guten Tag" | ] | Women are crazy? I guess a guy could have done this too. Enjoy. Oh, and the last song he uses is by a German band called Wir Sind Helden (We Are Heroes). The basic premise of the song is "Hi, I want my life back." Random.

| Landmine Marathon interview |
[May. 10th, 2009|03:49 pm] |
I interviewed Grace Perry from Landmine Marathon a couple weeks ago. LM is a metal band out of Phoenix, AZ and they played Chicago's Beat Kitchen where I was able to catch lead-singer Grace for a few minutes to have a little chat. The place was dark, so I apologize in advance for the quality of the video. I have an HD video camera with a light now, so future interviews won't be so ... floating head.

I have my blinds open and am sitting staring out at the front "lawn" and a bunch of aholes with flowers walked by and ripped out the tulips we had and added them to their handfuls. I yelled at them through my open window. They had kids with them too. Nice way to teach your kids to be thieves. Shitheads.
Eff you. |

| Our new band, Baxter House |
[May. 10th, 2009|03:21 pm] |
Here's the Electronic Press Kit from the first band signed to Synhergy Records, the label I'm working for. I haven't been able to see them yet because they're in L.A. but I hear their shows are really fun.
Check it out:
We just revamped their myspace too, and it looks pretty badass. My name is on there too. ;)
http://www.myspace.com/baxterhouse If you go, check out The Greatest Show on Earth and Dorothy's Pink Tornado. Those are my personal favorites.
Now they need to play Chi-town so I can go see 'em. |

Hi, Nick at my bank! You win! Hey everyone, I called my bank to see if they had an easy way to accept 17 lbs of change and he told me they have a machine that does it and that it's a free service (Never take anything to coinstar machines. They have an 8.9% fee.). I put all the $ in my backpack and walked the 4 blocks to the bank and OMG their machine is out of order. THANKS NICK! I got attitude from the teller, too. He was like "are you sure you called THIS branch?" YES, I HAS UNDERSTANDINGS OF HOW TO UZE TEH GOOGLEZ.

| I bought |
[Apr. 26th, 2009|06:40 pm] |
some odd things today. I went for a little walk and since it was nice and people might be out and about I walked down the main drag instead of through my neighborhood. There's a specialty tea restaurant there. I went in. Everything was in Farsi. I bought some items on a whim. Thing one is the Abali Yogurt Soda. Thing two is the Persian Rug. Both are below. The soda is milk, carbonated water, yogurt culture, and salt and tastes a little like a saltine. The owner was very nice and gave me a discount on the rug just because he liked me.
See? Morgan doesn't know what to make of the soda either.

The place had every kind of tea and tea paraphernalia ever made and an upstairs area with the rugs as well as books in Farsi, and some pretty good Iranian music playing.
Not sure how well the "soda" will go down. I sometimes try foreign drinks and I've made myself sick before (green jelly soda, I'm looking at you). We'll see!

my bagger at the supermarket cross himself repeatedly while bagging my groceries? I thought I imagined it the first time, because I was putting my change away and looking more at my wallet than at him, but then there it was again and again. It was just really quick, and he'd put his palms together after. So...was he...blessing...my...pears??? I'm about to go eat a pizza I just bought. Is it blessed now? Cursed? Plz advise. |
